The University of Iowa Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Sonographer to perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided procedures under physician supervision. This position involves moving and lifting equipment and patients. Weekends, holiday rotations, and travel to outreach clinics are required as part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Ultrasound Service. The department provides consultation, comprehensive treatment planning, and a broad range of services for patients with normal and high-risk pregnancies and for gynecology, including oncology and reproductive endocrinology. It offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and nursing services across all obstetric and gynecologic patients at University of Iowa Health Care. Beyond patient care, the department is known for its strong educational programs for sonography students, medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians, and actively engages in basic and clinical research in reproductive medicine. This role will primarily be based out of the Davenport clinic but requires flexibility to float between all Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic locations, including travel to University of Iowa Outreach Clinics or off-site locations.
