Performs diagnostic procedures on pregnant women and gynecological patients to monitor fetal development, diagnose medical conditions, and assist in treatment planning. This role involves setting up and adjusting equipment, manually maneuvering transducers, and implementing safety standards. The Sonographer will perform routine and complex obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations using state-of-the-art equipment to create clear and accurate images of the female reproductive system, including fetal anatomy and development. They will analyze ultrasound images, identify abnormalities, and communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare providers. Responsibilities also include ensuring equipment is properly functioning, maintaining a clean and orderly department, and ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS. Accurate record-keeping in electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential, as is maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.
