About The Position

This is a full-time opportunity for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to work on-site at our clinic in Springfield, OR. The position requires 32-40 hours per week and offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a continual learning program for ongoing education. The role involves performing all requested sonographic examinations, acquiring and analyzing ultrasound data, using independent judgment to produce high-quality diagnostic information, and generating reports on the organization's RIS system. The sonographer will work with the attending physician/provider to visualize sonographic examinations and provide summary findings to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Preliminary reports will be prepared, and referring physicians/providers will be contacted when required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography accredited by the Commission on Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Active license from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Advanced knowledge and competence in all skills related to the performance of patient care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure maximum productivity.

Nice To Haves

  • OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred.
  • Additional specialty certifications related to OB/GYN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician/provider.
  • Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
  • Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
  • Generate reports on organization’s RIS system.
  • Work with the attending physician/provider to visualize sonographic examination on the OB view workstations.
  • Provide summary findings to the physician/provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive preliminary reports.
  • Contact referring physicians/providers when required, according to established procedures.
