Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, upon hire or
  • Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, upon hire or
  • Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and equivalent clinical experience, upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire or
  • Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.
  • Directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans.
  • Meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images.
  • Monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Select and examine images for pathologies.
  • Present preliminary findings to Physicians.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  • Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
  • Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
