About The Position

MU Health Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to join their Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of data flow within the modality work area and a proactive approach to improving systems and services. This role values individuals who are attentive to patient satisfaction and can collaborate effectively with the management team to enhance the department and facility. The candidate will provide instruction to residents, fellows, students, and staff on ultrasonography equipment and procedures. Interaction with patients will follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation, and Thank You), ensuring confidentiality and maintaining current certifications and licensure. Punctuality and adherence to attendance guidelines are essential.

Requirements

• Registry eligible.
• Sonography-related certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

• Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area.
• Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall.
• Seek ways to improve systems and services.
• Assist with providing instruction to residents, fellows, students or other staff regarding ultrasonography equipment and procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.
• Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times and complete required quality control checks routinely.
• Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed.
• Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You).
• Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
• Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
• Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
