Requirements

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
  • If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
  • Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter

Nice To Haves

  • ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted

Responsibilities

  • Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
  • Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
  • Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
