The Sonographer I position is a part-time role responsible for competently operating ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and/or cardiac procedures. The role involves accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings, reviewing patient medical records, and obtaining necessary clinical information. The Sonographer will position patients, select appropriate equipment, and adjust technical factors to achieve diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include identifying and labeling images, maintaining records, entering patient data into the radiology information system, and documenting billing codes. The role also involves identifying equipment performance issues, evaluating new products, and analyzing sonograms to communicate findings to physicians. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
