About The Position
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is home to one of the region’s leading maternal–fetal medicine and women’s health programs, recognized for excellence in patient care, innovation, and academic leadership. As South Carolina’s only comprehensive academic medical center, MUSC provides advanced, multidisciplinary care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies. Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, OB/GYN physicians, genetic counselors, nurses, and sonographers work collaboratively to deliver comprehensive prenatal diagnostic services. The team performs advanced fetal imaging, detailed anatomy scans, and ongoing maternal and fetal monitoring to support the health of both mother and baby. As part of MUSC Health, sonographers play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care while working in a collaborative academic environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Registry eligible through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT. Registry must be obtained within a defined within 1 year after hire
- Current BLS certification required
- Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 0-2 years Work Experience
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
