Requirements

  • Registry eligible.
  • Sonography-related certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

  • Experience with both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area.
  • Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall.
  • Seek ways to improve systems and services.
  • Assist with providing instruction to residents, fellows, students or other staff regarding ultrasonography equipment and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.
  • Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times and complete required quality control checks routinely.
  • Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed.
  • Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You).
  • Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
  • Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
  • Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: Sonographer I - $40.96/HR and Sonographer II - $44.10
  • Shift Differentials: Additional $2.00 per hour for evening shift
  • Shift Differentials: Additional $2.50 per hour for weekend shift
