Position Summary: Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. Requirements

  • Registered by the ARDMS or equivalent; other registries a plus/benefit.
  • Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.
  • Additional registry in any of the following: OB, GYN, Vascular, Abdominal/general, cardiac a plus/benefit.
  • BLS required within six months of employment.
  • Previous ultrasound experience required.
  • Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
  • Typing and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work independently providing optimal images for diagnosis
  • Assist in patient transport
  • Able to assist in providing copies of images for patient care
  • Able to proficiently provide pertinent patient/procedure information and send images for offsite review
  • Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review.
  • Assist physicians/radiologists with interventional exams.
