About The Position

ISEC is seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development professional with proven experience in the Life Sciences sector to join our Science and Technology division! This is a remote role, sitting in the greater Los Angeles, CA area with regular travel within the assigned territory and to client sites as required. The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales approach, technical expertise, and a strong track record of building lasting client relationships. In this role, you are responsible for driving sales growth across ISEC’s offerings—including laboratory furniture, airflow products, scientific equipment, specialty flooring, and installation services. You will identify new opportunities, engage key stakeholders, and support projects in a variety of markets, including higher education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, commercial/industrial, and government sectors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in relevant market sectors such as biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or institutional environments
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals year over year
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and CRM platforms
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles and business fundamentals

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, and architects
  • Drive sales across ISEC’s core scopes of work: lab furniture, airflow systems, scientific equipment, specialty flooring, and installation services
  • Identify and pursue project opportunities in target markets, including life sciences, higher education, healthcare, and government sectors
  • Network through client meetings, industry events, and affiliations with local construction and real estate organizations
  • Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations aligned with client objectives
  • Communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless transitions from business development to estimating and operations teams
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with client needs and ISEC’s business goals
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly, resolving issues, and meeting all client commitments
  • Represent and advocate for ISEC’s brand and commitment to a world-class customer experience
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory as needed
