About The Position

The Solutions Specialist supports the electromechanical operations team on quotes, strategic projects and new sales. He/She also estimates repair work for small to mid size opportunities and new sales strategy with our sales team. This individual has an advanced knowledge of electromechanical systems and the industry, etc. to provide clients with innovative solutions. The Solutions Specialist accurately estimates labor and material job costs and provides technical support and advice to Sales and Operations teams whether internal or external. He /She acts as external liaison working with clients and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction as directed. The Solutions Specialist develops and maintains record keeping of all quotes and workorders.

Requirements

  • 10 years of Electromechanical Service Experience with knowledge of motors, pumps and gearboxes and industrial electronics.
  • Background in responding to client inquires in a similar setting.
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications; Excel is essential.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work within a fast-paced environment, and prioritize conflicting demands.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to client technical support inquiries.
  • Provide RFP/RFI support to potential clients accurately and efficiently.
  • With sales, operations and clients, completes site surveys to determine specific client needs and ensure project requirements are met including safety standards. Designs, configures and estimates systems for operations or the Sales Team.
  • Completes written quotes for clients, and Ainsworth business units as required.
  • Using software tools, workorders and internal support, prepares repair quotes for clients in a timely manner.
  • Provides operational and troubleshooting advice as needed. Organizes subcontractors as required by evaluating customer site system requirements and accurate job estimates. Researches and develops alternative, improved solutions when possible.
  • Working with our suppliers and industry experts, stays abreast of and educates others on new product information. Develops and maintains resources for sales and operations team including technical library, data sheets, manuals and vendor product information. Assists in establishing pricing including verification of vendor costs.
  • All other duties as required.
