About The Position

The Solutions Managing Director of AI Tech Strategy & Consulting serves as a senior client advisor, business & tech builder and connector, and thought leader within the Solutions practice. This role is accountable for connecting specific solution domains to strengthen the end-to-end AI Solutions client messaging, offerings, solutioning & delivery capabilities in addition, bring market competitiveness and intelligence from the fast-paced changing AI and Tech landscape. The domains include but are not limited to: Security, Cloud, Digital & Data, Digital Workspace, Data Center and Cloud. This role is also responsible for shaping and closing high-impact AI Tech engagements across enterprise clients, driving measurable business outcomes through responsible adoption of artificial intelligence. Additionally, the MD will work across teams to infuse leverage of AI tooling into WWT solutions and execution. The MD operates at the intersection of business and technology — translating complex AI capabilities into boardroom-level strategies, driving engagement across multidisciplinary teams, and building trusted C-suite relationships that generate sustained revenue and long-term client partnerships. This role sits at the forefront of one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time. We are looking for leaders who not only advise, but who actively shape how enterprise organizations adopt it responsibly, at scale, and with lasting impact.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, strategy, and/or enterprise AI — with at least 5 years at a senior consulting leadership level (Director or above)
  • Demonstrated track record of originating and closing $5M+ consulting engagements; experience managing $10M+ annual portfolios preferred
  • Deep experience advising Fortune 500 clients on AI strategy, data strategy, or digital transformation.
  • Hands-on understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle — from business case and use case prioritization to deployment and governance
  • Hands-on understanding of AI tooling from workforce productivity to software development and its broad application across WWT domains
  • Experience with at least one major industry vertical (Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Energy, or Public Sector)
  • Fluency in enterprise AI platforms and ecosystems: Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, Salesforce Einstein, ServiceNow AI
  • Working knowledge of GenAI, large language models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, RAG architecture, and AI governance models
  • Understanding of data architecture, MLOps, and the enterprise infrastructure required to operationalize AI at scale
  • Familiarity with AI risk, responsible AI principles, and regulatory landscape (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, sector-specific compliance)
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage, influence, and build lasting relationships at the C-suite and Board level
  • Strong commercial instincts — able to identify, structure, and close high-value opportunities while navigating complex client dynamics
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing consulting teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex topics into clear executive narratives

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the trusted AI advisor to C-suite and senior technology leaders (CEO, CTO, CDO, CAIO), translating ambiguous business challenges into structured AI roadmaps
  • Drive executive workshops, AI maturity assessments, and operating model design for enterprise clients across industries
  • Be the Client Executive Sponsor for strategic and complex AI programs.
  • Lead pursuit strategy for AI-focused engagements — including RFP responses, orals, and executive presentations
  • Partner with the AI sales teams to support build of new AI pipeline.
  • Partner with the appropriate WWT teams to develop co-sell motions and joint go-to-market strategies
  • Evolve WWT’s AI service offerings, methodologies, and frameworks — contributing to practice-wide IP, accelerators, and delivery assets
  • Represent WWT externally through speaking engagements, published POVs, industry panels, etc.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI developments (GenAI, Agentic AI, AI Governance, MLOps) and translate emerging trends into client-relevant insights and WWT solutions
  • Mentor and develop senior managers and directors; contribute to recruiting, performance management, and talent strategy
  • Collaborate with other practice leaders (Cloud, Data, Security, Digital Workspace, Automation, Networking, Data Center) to develop integrated, end-to-end AI transformation offerings
  • Contribute to firm strategy discussions on market positioning, competitive differentiation, and investment priorities in AI
