Solutions Engineer, Supply Chain Modeling

Riverstone Logistics•Rock Hill, SC

About The Position

The Solutions Engineer, Supply Chain Modeling is responsible for transforming client data into pricing and network designs that are practical for warehouse operations, ensuring RLX's profitability and providing new accounts with a smooth start. The core objective is to design accurate and executable logistics solutions that support profitable pricing strategies and complex network integrations, enabling Riverstone to become a leading integrated logistics company.

Requirements

  • Background in physical operations – cross-docks, high-volume fulfillment, or inbound networks – rather than a purely desk-based analytics path.
  • Working proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar data modeling tools.
  • Experience building financial or pricing models that translate operational assumptions – labor, facility utilization, transportation cost – into commercial numbers.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted or multi-agent data workflows as tools that accelerate analysis, not a substitute for operational judgment.
  • Willingness to travel onsite (approximately 20%) to support new account start-ups and resolve local implementation issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner across commercial, pricing, and site-level operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Pull together fragmented client RFP data and historical shipment profiles using modern data tools (Python, SQL) to design optimized middle-mile and final-mile networks.
  • Build logistics models that accurately forecast variable labor, facility utilization, and transportation costs, and translate those models into margin-protecting commercial pricing.
  • Use and help shape internal AI workflows and multi-agent frameworks (like Olympus) as accelerators for processing large datasets and turning around client-facing financial proposals quickly.
  • Ground every modeled solution in physical execution reality, explicitly accounting for seasonal volume spikes, cross-dock bottlenecks, and aggressive SLA penalties.
  • Partner directly with site-level leadership to pressure-test routing, headcount assumptions, and drop-trailer logic before they hit the warehouse floor.
  • Serve as the technical bridge between commercial pricing models and post-launch operations, tracking actual margin realization against the original solution design.
  • Support system setup, API integrations, and logic mapping for new enterprise accounts to get data flowing clean from day one.
  • Partner with Operations during implementation to confirm workflows and cost controls match the original pricing model before go-live.
  • Travel onsite for new account start-ups to validate network models, provide operational engineering support, and resolve local data or physical bottlenecks.
