Solutions Engineer (FedRAMP)

Aikido SecurityChicago, IL

About The Position

We’re making security suck less for developers. Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest. We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place. Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter. As a FedRAMP Solutions Engineer at Aikido, you’ll support our commercial sales team whenever a deal touches FedRAMP or federal compliance requirements. You’ll be the go-to technical resource who helps commercial AEs quickly identify and act on FedRAMP potential in their pipeline - turning a compliance question into a reason to win, not a reason to stall. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who wants to build deep public sector security expertise while working across a large volume of deals.

  • Strong technical foundation (cloud, DevOps, or security fundamentals)
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, clear way
  • Hands-on mindset, able to troubleshoot and dig into technical workflows
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven approach

Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial Account Executives (SMB and mid-market) to identify and support deals with FedRAMP or federal compliance potential
  • Provide fast, practical FedRAMP guidance during discovery and technical evaluation to help AEs keep deals moving
  • Run lightweight technical discovery and answer compliance-related questions as they surface in commercial sales cycles
  • Act as the internal go-to resource for FedRAMP questions across the commercial sales org
  • Help commercial reps position Aikido's compliance posture clearly and accurately to prospects
