About The Position

Acting as a strategic partner to leaders and delivery teams, this role is responsible for the management, administration, and evolution of the company’s technological infrastructure (network and telecommunications). The person in this role ensures the proper functioning of the technological infrastructure under their responsibility, as well as the sound operational management and evolution of the systems that make up this infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of IT experience, including five (5) years in network administration in a Cisco and Check Point environment
  • Experience in a large-scale IT environment, ideally in the financial or banking sectors
  • Good knowledge of Cisco network components (routing, switching, firewall, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Cisco and Check Point firewalls
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Wi-Fi network components
  • Good knowledge of network services such as site-to-site VPN, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, design the corresponding solutions and support their implementation, particularly as part of network infrastructure implementation or enhancement projects
  • Collaborate with business lines on the definition, design and integration of network solutions as part of their projects
  • As part of the implementation of new solutions, contribute to the production of solution architecture documents and present them to the relevant committees to obtain the required approvals
  • Follow current ITSM practices, including opening and managing changes, documenting intervention plans and presenting files to the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
  • Administer the components of the technological infrastructure under your responsibility to ensure their availability, reliability, security and integrity
  • Provide second- and third-level technical support while collaborating with the partner that provides first-level support
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
  • As a member of an operational team, occasionally provide support outside regular business hours, particularly to respond to specific situations or support the implementation of complex changes that may have a significant impact on environments
