About The Position

Pantheon Data is seeking a Solutions Architecture Director to lead systems engineering, technical strategy, solutioning and enterprise architecture across a portfolio of federal programs, primarily within the Department of War (DOW). This role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, systems engineering discipline, government policy awareness, and exceptional written communication skills to develop high-quality architectures and compelling technical proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 12+ years in solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, or systems engineering.
  • Experience supporting DOW or Federal Civilian agencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated management experience in technical and cross functional teams.
  • Strong expertise in: Enterprise architecture frameworks (DOWAF, TOGAF), Systems engineering lifecycle and modeling, ARIS modeling (required, primary platform), Cloud architecture (AWS required), Data architecture and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with legacy system environments and modernization efforts.
  • Experience with Cameo, DOORS (required familiarity).
  • Experience with Teamcenter and Windchill (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in technical writing and proposal development.
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

  • CDMP or data-related certifications
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Prior Navy or DOW program experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to solutioning and problem-solving evolutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Apply Pantheon's Theios AI current and planned capabilities to solve customer problems and create operations efficiencies & advantages.
  • Support development and design of new capabilities and features for Theios AI in support of Pantheon's internal development program.
  • Collaborate with government leaders, program managers, engineers, and business teams.
  • Clearly communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams.
  • Lead and contribute to technical proposal development (RFPs, RFIs, white papers, capabilities statements).
  • Author clear, compelling, and compliant technical narratives, including solution approaches, architecture diagrams, and implementation strategies.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into well-structured written content for evaluators and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with capture and BD teams to shape winning solutions and discriminators.
  • Apply formal systems engineering methodologies (INCOSE-aligned) across system lifecycles.
  • Develop architecture and system models using: ARIS (primary), Cameo (MBSE / SysML), DOORS (requirements management).
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter and Windchill for product lifecycle and systems data management.
  • Lead requirements decomposition, traceability, and validation efforts.
  • Conduct trade studies, integration planning, and technical risk assessments.
  • Lead enterprise solution design across cloud, data, applications, and infrastructure domains.
  • Define architecture standards aligned to DOWAF, federal enterprise architecture guidance, and Pantheon Data best practices.
  • Leverage ARIS as the primary enterprise modeling tool to develop business process models, architecture views, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Translate mission requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
  • Architect AWS-based solutions (GovCloud preferred) to support modernization initiatives.
  • Design hybrid solutions integrating legacy systems with modern, cloud-native architectures.
  • Define data architecture, integration, and governance strategies.
  • Align solutions with federal policies and frameworks: FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST RMF, DOW Cloud SRG, Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Ensure compliance while enabling mission performance and innovation.
