About The Position

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead a diverse portfolio of initiatives across the FTSE Russell Index platform estate, including operational risk remediation, regulatory compliance, resiliency improvements, and platform modernization. This role requires a hands-on architect who can work effectively within complex, highly interconnected legacy systems, while driving pragmatic, incremental improvements in architecture, scalability, and operational efficiency. You will balance run and change, ensuring stability of critical platforms while enabling transformation aligned to business and risk priorities. You will act as a strategic thought partner across Product, Operations, and Engineering: Product Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product teams to shape solutions that balance business value, scope, cost, and timelines, while maintaining high standards of quality and technical integrity. Contribute actively to solution design and drive pragmatic decision-making. Operations Partnership: Partner with Operations to ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, and operationally efficient, embedding operational excellence, risk awareness, and supportability into all solutions. Engineering Partnership: Work with the wider engineering organization to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, delivered efficiently, and aligned to architectural standards. Proactively identify risks, anticipate delivery challenges, and mobilize the right teams and approaches to resolve them.
