About The Position

PotomacWave is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its corporate team in Alexandria, Virginia. The role calls for a technical leader who can design and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology-enabled solutions that align business needs with technical capabilities, bridging complex engineering capabilities and commercial growth. The Solutions Architect translates customer challenges into solutions and helps drive revenue by shaping bids, proposals, and live demonstrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related technical or commercial field.
• Four to five years of experience in a technical consulting, systems engineering, or technical sales enablement role.
• Proven experience in strategic growth initiatives.
• Experience working with leadership teams and executives, along with direct exposure to client environments to understand customer needs.
• Broad technical knowledge and the ability to quickly master complex architectures, cloud services, software systems, and engineering workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the proactive ability to anticipate needs and risks before they affect a deal or project.
• Strong written communication skills and a record of authoring clear technical volumes, executive summaries, and pitch presentations.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client delivery and business development teams to design technology-enabled solutions aligned with business needs.
• Create technical proposals, documentation, and blueprints or roadmaps that communicate value to executive stakeholders.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into high-level system architectures, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), integration plans, and technical volumes.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, pitch meetings, and product or prototype demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assess technical feasibility, identify solution risks, and align product roadmaps with target market demands.
• Partner with teams to build rapid prototypes, live demonstrations, and reference architectures that prove capability.
