About The Position

SCP Health is hiring a Solutions Architect to translate business needs into functional solution designs centered on Salesforce and accounting for interactions with QGenda, Workday, and integrations. The role works across Product Management, Engineering, Technical Architecture, QA, security, compliance, and SOX stakeholders to ensure solutions follow platform standards, satisfy control requirements, and are feasible to build and maintain. The Solutions Architect develops stories, acceptance criteria, technical spikes, and design artifacts; analyzes system and integration behavior; documents data mappings and source-of-truth decisions; and presents designs to the Design Authority and EARB. The role stays involved through delivery, supporting backlog refinement, testing, dependency and risk tracking, and defect resolution. It also identifies opportunities to improve and simplify the platform and uses AI assistants to accelerate analysis and documentation while remaining accountable for accuracy and design decisions. SCP Health describes itself as a clinical practice management leader working across the continuum of care, with more than 8 million patients, 7,500 providers, 30 states, and 400 healthcare facilities. The company emphasizes work/life balance, a comprehensive benefits package, competitive compensation, and an inclusive culture grounded in collaboration, courage, agility, and respect.

  • Evaluate design options, make trade-offs clear, and ensure solutions align across workstreams and with platform direction and architecture standards.
  • Create architecture and data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, process-to-system maps, and wireframes or UI mockups as needed.
  • Query systems and validate data to understand system behavior; review integration behavior among Salesforce, QGenda, Workday, and MuleSoft with Engineering and Technical Architects.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for design and integration issues and incorporate findings into future designs.
  • Document data mappings, source-of-truth decisions, and integration requirements, identifying data and integration needs early in discovery.
  • Prepare design submissions for the Design Authority and EARB, record design decisions, and apply platform standards.
  • Partner with security, compliance, and SOX stakeholders to meet control requirements.
  • Hand off designs to Senior Developers serving in the Technical Architect role, resolve feasibility and build constraints, remain engaged through build, and approve design changes.
  • Provide Product Management with feasibility, effort, and dependency input to support prioritization.
  • Participate in backlog refinement and ensure stories are ready to build from a design standpoint.
  • Work with QA to define design-level test scenarios, including integration and end-to-end flows.
  • Track design dependencies and risks across cross-functional initiatives and drive resolution of design- or integration-related defects.
