About The Position

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are seeking a Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Solutions Architect to join our HCLS organization within AWS Enterprise engaged accounts. In this role, you will help deliver our strategy for global HCLS customers and partners, working alongside some of the world's largest healthcare and life sciences companies to design cloud architectures that address their industry-specific business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. As a Solutions Architect, you will help customers succeed using AWS technologies — linking technology with measurable business value for healthcare and life sciences organizations. You will bring technical depth and curiosity, with the ability to participate in architecture discussions and clearly communicate the value of the AWS platform to both technical and business audiences. You will help design scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures, assist customers in understanding best practices around cloud-based solutions, and support workload migration efforts. You will have the opportunity to build prototypes, contribute to cloud-native reference architectures, and explore use cases across Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics, and Security. You will collaborate with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem to drive AWS adoption within your assigned customers. As a Solutions Architect at AWS you will work directly with customers. As an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML. As a part of the role, you will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community. You will also gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders at BioPharma/Biotech and diagnostics organizations to understand their unique requirements and challenges.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the customer's business model, industry trends, and technical landscape.
• Architect and design AI first, scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions that address the customer's specific needs.
• Guide the customer through the cloud migration process, ensuring a smooth transition and adoption of AWS services.
• Collaborate with the customer's technical teams to implement, configure, and optimize the AWS infrastructure.
• Build strong technical relationships with customer counterparts to support their cloud adoption journey
• Provide ongoing support and optimization recommendations to maximize the value of the customer's AWS investment.
• Share best practices, conduct training, and enable the customer's team to independently manage the AWS environment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and industry developments to recommend innovative solutions.
