About The Position

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for performing daily mainframe storage operations using z/OS tools to optimize SMS/DASD utilization, verify HSM/DLM health and space, audit volumes/datasets across both plexes, and submit CRs/incidents as needed to maintain reliability. This role also involves producing required compliance/capacity reporting (SCRT/SMF), verifying reclaim/housekeeping automation, and completing operational work such as disk initialization, tape consolidations, and maintenance of core storage software (DLM, Solutions Enabler, GDDR, TapeCopy, Unisphere). Additionally, the Solutions Architect will execute DR activation/teardown activities, coordinate Dell hardware patching/upgrades, and monitor PowerMax/DLM/Data Domain health and certificates at both Eagan and San Mateo.

Requirements

EMC/Dell storage administration experience within the past five years.
IBM Mainframe systems programming and administration experience within the past five years.
Strong experience with DT storage.
DLM experience is required.
