About The Position

TCG, a B Corp government contractor, is seeking a Solutions Architect with commercial real estate experience to join their team at a major Federal agency. The role involves supporting the agency's real estate IT infrastructure by evaluating and recommending optimizations for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) real estate platforms, enterprise systems, and custom applications. This position acts as a consultant to technical and functional teams, requiring a candidate with strong attention to detail, the ability to quickly assess pain points and data gaps, and experience in building or managing real estate portfolio platforms. The ideal candidate will have a consultative approach, take initiative, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and possess a strong work ethic with a value for collaboration and communication. US Citizenship is required, and the selected applicant must pass a government background investigation. This is a fully remote position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a systems engineer on complex enterprise IT programs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a solutions architect or solutions engineer.
  • Experience with federal real estate programs, GSA/PBS operations, or government-owned and leased property management.
  • Proven experience serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, translating operational needs into technically actionable specifications.
  • Experience developing and identifying existing and valuable metrics, conducting analysis, and identifying gaps in data.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal acquisition activities including fit-gap analysis and vendor evaluation.
  • Experience working at the intersection of real estate, facilities management, or property operations and enterprise IT within or directly supporting commercial, private sector, or non-governmental real estate organizations.
  • Experience working with and building rapport with program & project team members, stakeholders, and high level government executives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that translate well into requirements baselines that both technical experts and business owners can understand.
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a "helping others helps us all" personality.
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skill set; ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
  • Certifications related to process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, or BPM.
  • Familiarity with federal IT governance frameworks and structured requirements management approaches applicable to large-scale modernization programs.
  • Experience with commercial real estate platforms.
  • Experience building or managing real estate portfolio platforms.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and make recommendations to optimize and modernize a collection of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) real estate platforms, enterprise systems, and custom applications.
  • Serve as a consultant to the technical and functional teams.
  • Quickly assess pain points and data gaps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and technical staff to identify technical requirements and current use cases.
  • Create user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Design and estimate timelines and costs.
  • Facilitate reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, translating operational needs into technically actionable specifications.
  • Recommend application enhancements and improvements in tools such as BM Trirega, IBM Maximo, Kahua, Salesforce (or other CRM tools), and Appian.
  • Develop and identify existing and valuable metrics, conduct analysis, and identify gaps in data.
  • Support federal acquisition activities including fit-gap analysis and vendor evaluation.
  • Work at the intersection of real estate, facilities management, or property operations and enterprise IT within or directly supporting commercial, private sector, or non-governmental real estate organizations.
