About The Position

Presidio is seeking a skilled Network-focused Solutions Architect to join their Pre-Sales Engineering Team in Denver, CO. This role involves meeting with customers to gather requirements for network and security projects, and then developing engineering solutions that include hardware, software, licensing, and services for sale. The Solutions Architect will present and explain various network infrastructure technologies (LAN/WAN, Data Center Switching, Security, SD-WAN) to customers, guiding them through the requirements gathering process and formulating a comprehensive solution. Knowledge of enterprise-class solutions from partners like Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, and VMware, along with a strong understanding of network design principles based on industry best practices, is ideal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 7+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions.
  • 2+ years of presales experience
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following: Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco, Arista, HP), Next gen firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), AI Operations, AI networking, Data Center switching/segmentation solutions such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX, SASE, SD-WAN and other cloud-based networking technologies
  • Industry standards-based network design principles
  • IP Routing, Router & Switch sizing
  • Advanced Network Design & Architecture
  • Branch Site Design

Nice To Haves

  • One or more of the following certifications: CCDP/CCNP/CCIE and other non-Cisco certifications.
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • Experience in a Value Added Reseller (VAR) environment
  • Experience working as a consultant or network architect is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services)
  • Collect business and technical requirements
  • Complete end-to-end, full lifecycle network designs
  • Drive whiteboard conversations
  • Craft customer facing presentations
  • Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Generate hardware configurations (BoM)
  • Write statements of work (SoW) and develop Professional Service pricing utilizing Presidio tools.
  • Ability to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business
  • Work with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process
  • Maintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certifications
