About The Position

The Solution Architect is a hands-on technical leader who owns design patterns, reusable components, and solution governance for the Finance Shared Services pillar. This role pairs with AI/ML architects across the program, partners closely with developers and engineers on build, and ensures that Finance Shared Services solutions are consistent, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture standards. The Solution Architect remains actively hands-on in UiPath and AI tooling while shaping the pillar's technical direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience including 5 years' of demonstrated technical experience and 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Multiple (three or more) Epic Certifications OR relevant Intelligent Automation/AI certifications required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in applicable field preferred.
  • Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Certification Preferred.
  • Deep UiPath experience across Studio, Orchestrator, and at least one of Maestro, Document Understanding, or AI Center.
  • Experience with AI-enabled workflows, including LLM or agentic components.
  • Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
  • Demonstrated experience defining standards, patterns, and governance for delivery teams.
  • UiPath Solution Architect certification; Azure or AWS architect certification.
  • Works cross functionally across Mayo Clinic Departments.
  • Demonstrated project and deliverable consistency through repeatable and reliable performance.
  • Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation to complete tasks and assignments on time.
  • Proven evidence of project management skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication, organization, problem solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Evidence of mastery level expertise in multiple technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability in solving complex technical and application problems with multiple technologies.
  • Experience working in healthcare technology and Epic.
  • Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
  • Working knowledge of large language models, AI agents, and/or ML lifecycle management.
  • Proven track record of designing enterprise-scale solutions using automation platforms (UiPath preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain solution design patterns, reusable components, and architecture standards for the pillar.
  • Partner with AI/ML engineers and the Revenue Cycle AI/ML architect to align agentic and ML patterns across pillars.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews for pillar initiatives; ensure solutions meet quality, security, and reusability standards.
  • Contribute hands-on to high-complexity builds in UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, Maestro, Document Understanding, AI Center) and integrated AI services.
  • Own solution governance for the pillar, including design artifacts, non-functional requirements, and go-live readiness.
  • Coach developers and engineers on design thinking, reuse, and modern automation patterns.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance to maintain alignment.
