About The Position

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Solutions Architect to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will work with and in support of sales colleagues in solutioning, designing and estimating large-scale, complex, and specialized projects for customers in verticals such as data centers, global accounts, utilities, healthcare, SLED. These projects may include highly regulated environments such as UL2050, Utilities and defense projects. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and creating accurate, high-value scopes of work and proposals that meet the unique demands of enterprise-level and complex projects. Requirements

  • 7-9 years of experience in design consulting, system design, system commissioning, estimating, project management and/or installation for complex and large-scale electronic physical security projects.
  • Expertise in access control, CCTV, and physical security systems, with a focus on large-scale enterprise, multi-site and complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for specialized environments.
  • Proficiency in advanced estimating tools, Microsoft Office, and project collaboration software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and sales colleagues in creating solutions, designs, scopes of work and specifications for large-scale and highly complex projects.
  • Participate in site surveys as needed to understand site conditions and site challenges in order to design complex, multi-technology electronic and physical security solutions.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions to fully assess project needs and unique requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed, comprehensive cost estimates for large, multi-site or country, complex security projects which can include data centers, global enterprise installations, and regulated environments (e.g., UL2050, defense, and government).
  • Lead security design development for projects where we are serving as the security design consultant.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and RFPs to develop highly accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and operations to align estimates with project scope, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Work with Partners to identify new and best technology to apply to solutions and designs.
  • Source and manage pricing from specialized vendors, subcontractors, and partners to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations.
  • Identify project risks, special handling requirements, and potential solutions to address regulatory and customer expectations.
  • Mentor junior estimators, providing technical guidance and strategic support.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to clarify project scope and value proposition.
  • Work with installation teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
  • Apply industry knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Track project costs, potential risks, and margins to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Ensure estimates align with company pricing strategies and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare and present accurate proposals to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
