About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to join the AWS SMB group. This role involves working directly with Small and Medium Business customers to help them gain a competitive edge using AWS. As an experienced technologist and a key member of the Account team, you will influence customers' architectural choices across various use cases, including security, compute, storage, networking, serverless, analytics, and AI/ML. You will provide technical design guidance and thought leadership, capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community, and collaborate with other technical professionals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Experience designing AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes, including responsible AI governance patterns.
• Experience in modern application development, serverless architectures, data & analytics, and AI/ML
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• Experience managing relationships with SMB customers and partners

Responsibilities

• Drive success in building and migrating SMB customer applications onto AWS, including web and mobile platforms, data warehouses, line-of-business applications, and AI-powered workflows.
• Formulate and execute a technical strategy aligned to SMB customers' growth goals, with a focus on GenAI and Agentic AI adoption.
• Educate customers on AWS's value for SMB workloads and lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for resilience, cost efficiency, security, and rapid innovation.
• Conduct enablement sessions covering GenAI-powered productivity, agentic automation, serverless and analytics modernization, and AI-driven customer experience.
• Capture and share best practices across the SA community, including reusable agentic AI frameworks and responsible AI governance patterns.
• Author customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, and reference architectures emphasizing GenAI and Agentic AI for SMB customers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders to accelerate their cloud and AI transformation journeys.
• Serve as a technical liaison advocating for SMB-specific product needs and roadmap priorities.
