The Solutions Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions supporting enterprise application modernization and AI enablement initiatives for the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services. This is a remote, full-time role requiring a hands-on technical leader who can translate business requirements into practical architectural solutions, guide engineering teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive modernization strategies in complex enterprise environments. The candidate will work with technical and business stakeholders, lead architecture discussions, identify opportunities for automation and AI adoption, and ensure solutions meet enterprise security, scalability, performance, and compliance needs. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, subject to client requirements. The role spans cloud architecture and engineering, DevSecOps and automation, AI enablement, API architecture and integration, application modernization, and technical leadership. The architect will develop cloud adoption and migration strategies, establish architecture standards, integrate security and compliance into development and deployment, and design secure integrations among legacy systems, cloud platforms, modern applications, and external services. They will also develop modernization roadmaps and guide teams in adopting modern engineering practices while minimizing disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership and can connect cloud engineering, application modernization, API integration, DevSecOps, and AI enablement into a cohesive enterprise architecture. They should communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and recommend solutions that are practical, secure, and effective.
