About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Solutions Architect to become a member of their Federal Strategic Cyber Group. This is a highly visible role where you will influence security strategy, architect innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior technical leaders to strengthen mission resilience against evolving threats. As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted technical leader responsible for designing and advancing enterprise security architectures that support complex Federal and national security environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline and a minimum of 14 years’ of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelors degree requirement.
  • Must either possess and maintain, or obtain prior to start date, one of the following professional certifications: CISSP, Security+, Net+, A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, MCSA.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting industry and peer security reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to author white papers, technical recommendations, or security architecture documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to brief technical and executive audiences.
  • Prior experience in Federal or DoD cybersecurity programs.
  • CISM Certification
  • CCSP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and evolve enterprise security architectures and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Partner with Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Data teams to implement secure, scalable, and resilient technologies.
  • Establish and maintain security standards, policies, frameworks, and technical guidance across the enterprise.
  • Lead security architecture reviews, risk assessments, compliance evaluations, and remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Security Risk Management Plans aligned to mission objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative security capabilities to enhance organizational security posture.
  • Author technical recommendations, architecture documentation, and executive-level briefings for stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with Federal cybersecurity frameworks and security regulations.
