About The Position

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Solutions Architect to join our amazing culture. As a Security Solution Architect, you will serve as an innovator, thought leader, and creative technical strategist for security solutions across the organization’s vertical and subvertical markets. This role is focused on developing repeatable, scalable, and market-ready security solution offerings that align with customer needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, and operational realities. You will help define how security products, platforms, services, and integrations come together to solve business challenges across different customer environments. You will create structured solution strategies, including “good, better, and best” offerings, that support sales, engineering, operations, and customers in understanding the value, performance, implementation requirements, and operational outcomes of each solution.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in electronic and physical security technologies, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, visitor management, credentialing, analytics, command center platforms, and integrated security systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative, scalable, and repeatable security solution strategies for multiple vertical markets and customer environments.
  • Strong understanding of security products, platforms, and manufacturers, including product capabilities, limitations, implementation requirements, integration methods, licensing models, and operational use cases.
  • Experience creating solution frameworks, reference architectures, use cases, productized offerings, or standardized technology strategies.
  • Ability to build “good, better, and best” solution models that align technical capabilities with customer value, operational needs, and market differentiation.
  • Understanding of system implementation requirements, including deployment planning, commissioning, training, documentation, adoption, support, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of system performance considerations, including scalability, bandwidth, storage, device capacity, system availability, redundancy, analytics performance, and user experience.
  • Experience integrating security systems with IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, identity management systems, building systems, enterprise applications, and security operations environments.
  • Ability to understand customer business challenges and translate them into practical, innovative, and differentiated security solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of vertical market needs and the ability to adapt security strategies for different industries, customer types, and operational environments.
  • Ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, operations, marketing, leadership, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling way.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence internal teams, guide solution direction, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration tools, and design or visualization tools used to communicate solution concepts.
  • Passion for innovation, emerging technology, customer outcomes, and continuous improvement within the security industry.
  • College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-9 years of experience in design consulting, system design, system commissioning, estimating, project management and/or installation for complex and large-scale electronic physical security projects.
