About The Position

The Solutions Architect is Temporal’s primary customer-facing technical leader within the Enterprise team (Central). In this role, you will work directly with prospects and customers, guiding teams through technical evaluation, architecture, and implementation considerations, and helping them successfully adopt and expand production usage of Temporal over time. You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to support both land and expand motions, owning key technical relationships and helping position Temporal against alternative technologies and architectural patterns.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
  • Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
  • Strong grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
  • Proven ability to guide customers through complex architectural decisions, including application patterns and platform design.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and the application and infrastructure services commonly used in enterprise production environments.
  • Reside within the Central time zone (United States). Strong preference for Chicago, Dallas, TX or Minneapolis.

  • Ability to provide clear guidance on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
  • Familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
