About The Position

As a Solutions Architect on the AWS National Security Team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to AWS customers in the Intelligence Community. You will be the "face of Amazon" to our customers, engaging on a broad variety of complex and mission-critical technical challenges. This is a high visibility role where you will collaborate with and influence both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams, including sales and platform engineering. National Security Solutions Architects (SAs) are regarded as technical "thought leaders" within the Intelligence Community, evangelizing emerging technologies conceptually and architecturally. You will solve problems at both business and technical levels, working backwards from customer requirements to envision new solutions and strategies that enable agencies to operate more efficiently and better execute their mission objectives. You will ensure technical puzzle pieces fit together and deliver offerings at scale, often responsible for mission-critical solutions with National Security implications. This position offers the unique opportunity to enhance existing AWS service features and create entirely new tools to adapt to customer requirements within the complex technical constraints of the cleared environment. Amazon Web Services is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who align with our Leadership Principles and possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address Intelligence Community customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
