Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate customer adoption. As a Solutions Architect at AWS you will work directly with customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by the opportunity to work backwards from these customers' needs and help them gain competitive edge using AWS. As an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and Generative AI. As a part of the role, you will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community. You will also gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture. A day in the life AWS is looking for Solution Architects who have been builders themselves, share a passion for cloud-native businesses and are excited to apply their expertise working with customers. Hyper-scale growth is the new norm for many of these organizations. The right candidate has the ability to anticipate challenges or “look around corners”. A key success metric is to reduce or manage blockers by applying your technical experience. You will work alongside C-Level decision makers, technical leads, developers, and infrastructure managers. Requirements

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS services.
  • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
  • Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams and help evolve the AWS platform.
  • Advocate for AWS's GenAI strategy by building demos and PoCs to show customers the art-of-the possible
