About The Position

Workday is looking for a dynamic and driven HCM Solution Consultant to join our Higher Education Solution Consulting team. Our team demonstrates the value of Workday's next-generation Human Capital Management solution to Workday prospects and customers. Workday Solution Consultants provide HCM system expertise, engage audiences with dynamic content and storytelling, lead executive presentations, and deliver Workday HCM product demonstrations, in partnership with our sales team, to prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Our team works in a highly complex environment that requires curiosity, flexibility, and drive.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software solution consulting experience or value-based influential selling experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with and/or selling HCM systems (for example: Workday, UKG, Oracle, etc.)
  • 5+ years of software solution consulting experience or value-based influential selling experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with and/or selling HCM systems (for example: Workday, UKG, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects individually as well as working cross-functionally
  • Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to higher education senior administrators
  • Experience showcasing complex enterprise or HCM software solutions to both functional and technical audiences, ideally including higher education institutions
  • Experience in a Solution Consulting, sales consulting AND/OR implementation role
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and the ability to incorporate AI capabilities into solution narratives and demos to highlight impact on outcomes and efficiency
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Delivering relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars to higher education prospects and customers
  • Crafting detailed design and implementation specifications for sophisticated HCM products, applications, and solutions
  • Assisting in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training
  • Supporting the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof-of-concept system builds, and sales cycle closure plans
  • Partnering with sales, marketing, technical, and channel teams to achieve shared objectives
  • Assisting sales in the response to RFxs
  • Participating in discovery sessions alongside sales to ask qualifying questions and understand challenges, current business processes, and ideal future state
  • Applying in-depth HCM product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and customers through sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Incorporating Workday AI capabilities into HCM demos and illustrating measurable impact on institutional success and operational efficiency
