About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financials Solution Consultant for our Higher Education team! Our team demonstrates the value of next generation SaaS Financial Management Applications and Artificial Intelligence Agents to Workday prospects and customers. Through interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, and by leveraging deep Financial Accounting skills and complex Enterprise Software product knowledge, Workday Solution Consultants provide Financials expertise, Executive presentations, and Workday Financials product demonstrations, in partnership with our sales team, to customers throughout the sales cycle. Our team works in a highly complex environment that requires curiosity, flexibility, and drive. Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant with Financials & ERP expertise to join our Higher Education focused enterprise Solution Consultant team.

Requirements

  • Solution Consultant 3+ years of Financials domain expertise and preferably experience in cross Financials functions such as General Accounting, AP / AR, Grants Management, Financial Reporting, Project Management and Asset Management or Procurement required.
  • Senior Solution Consultant 5+ years of Financials domain expertise and preferably experience in cross Financials functions such as General Accounting, AP / AR, Grants Management, Financial Reporting, Project Management and Asset Management or Procurement required.
  • Strong understanding of the Higher Education market, the challenges prospective customers face, and how Workday is uniquely positioned to support their needs
  • Consultative Selling Expertise: Skilled in understanding client needs through insightful questioning and positioning solutions as strategic value drivers, rather than just features
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally
  • Exceptional and dynamic presentation & communication skills
  • Strong ability to demo to value
  • Outstanding ability to professionally discovery, dynamically present and communication with all levels of prospect from end users to C-Level executives

Responsibilities

  • The delivery of relevant, exciting, and compelling technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
  • To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.
  • To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.
  • Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.
  • To assist sales in the response to RFIs
  • Participate in discovery sessions alongside sales to ask qualifying questions and understand challenges, current business processes, and ideal future state
  • Uses in-depth ERP-product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
