About The Position

The Solution Architecture Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our organization by aligning technology outcomes with business capabilities, investment priorities, and maturity targets. This role involves extensive collaboration with various business groups to provide industry and vendor insights, integrate enterprise-wide technological insights, and support product group strategy. Additionally, this role will manage Solution Architects reporting to the SNC Enterprise Architecture function. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 7+ Years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, The Open Group Architecture Framework).
  • Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance considerations in solution design.
  • Experience in identifying and analyzing business drivers and technology trends.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards/regulations and emerging technologies/trends.
  • Experience managing a team of architects and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Manage the development and execution of strategic business plans that align with the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
  • Follows established processes, seeks approval before major decisions
  • Facilitate OKR (Objectives and Key Results) problem exploration and solutioning to identify key business challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure that technology outcomes are closely aligned with business capabilities, investment priorities, and maturity targets.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technological strategies.
  • Provide deep industry and vendor insights to support and influence product group strategies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Integrate enterprise-wide technological insights into strategies that support business group-level priorities.
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide view to ensure cohesive and comprehensive technological and business strategies.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across different business units and technology teams.
  • Build future state roadmaps to guide the organization towards achieving its strategic goals.
  • Develop and enhance business capabilities to support growth and operational excellence.
  • Drive initiatives to modernize the technology ecosystem, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with current and future business needs.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions to address complex business problems and improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance business capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Mentor and develop junior architects and team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
