Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and owning implementation of cloud infrastructure in enterprise or mission environments, including networking, identity, compute, and storage
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization, distributed infrastructure, and data platform architecture, including environments operating under degraded connectivity, air-gap, or multi-tenant constraints
  • Experience with large-scale log management, security monitoring, or SIEM platform architecture, including designing from scratch, consolidating existing tooling, or migrating between platforms
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automation, including containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline design, including in restricted or classified environments where standard toolchains don't apply out of the box
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into engineering workflows or production environments, including surfacing LLM-backed tooling to extend what a small team can deliver
  • Experience making sound architectural decisions when the environment works against you, including restricted toolchains, contested network conditions, imposed timelines, or requirements that shift mid-execution
  • Ability to enter an unfamiliar technology, develop genuine working knowledge rapidly, and lead others through implementation
  • Ability to architect under ambiguity, own the outcome alongside engineers, and communicate decisions clearly to both technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across multiple cloud providers or classification levels on the same program, including navigating the translation between platforms
  • Experience on a large defense program or with a major systems integrator, including delivering under bureaucratic friction without losing technical momentum
  • Experience supporting DoD installations or integrating with mission or C2 systems across NIPR, SIPR, or coalition networks, including where the technical environment was inherited, undocumented, or both
  • Experience building agentic workflows, automation pipelines, or custom tooling that meaningfully changed what your team could ship
  • Experience in a technical lead or principal role where you were accountable for both the architecture and whether it actually got delivered
  • Experience operating on a tiger team, rapid response unit, or equivalent, parachuting into a problem, delivering under compressed timelines, and moving on cleanly
  • Top Secret clearance
  • AWS Certification
