Requirements

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Cloud Computing, Cloud Data Architecture and Cloud Technology Architecture, Software Design and Architecture, Application Integration, Security and Compliance, Stakeholder Communication, Cloud Cost Modeling, AWS Architecture.
  • Analyzing and recommending technologies (software, hardware, infrastructure).
  • Managing technical practices and introducing technical vision.
  • Examining current systems architecture and identifying dependencies and gaps.
  • Collaborating with technical staff to recommend effective solutions.
  • Testing, integrating, and programming software systems.
  • Initiating, supervising, and developing requirements for complex programs.
  • Leading high-visibility or mission-critical projects.
  • Overseeing and mentoring less senior staff.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in solution architecture.
  • Recognized industry leadership in cloud or systems architecture.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and/or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
  • Experience with large-scale application migrations to the cloud.
  • Advanced proficiency in security best practices for cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the technical vision and direction of complex solutions, ensuring seamless integration of software and infrastructure components to meet organizational goals.
  • Analyze current systems, identify critical dependencies and gaps, and recommend innovative approaches leveraging cloud computing, application integration, and security advancements.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to design, test, and implement robust architectures.
  • Manage the technical practice to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Address specific technical challenges by programming, integrating, and validating software systems, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
  • Apply engineering disciplines across the entire solution lifecycle: planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, rollout, and support.
  • Initiate, supervise, and develop requirements for complex programs.
  • Lead high-visibility or mission-critical projects.
  • Oversee and mentor less senior staff.
