A Solution Architect at EVOCS turns ambiguous business problems into concrete, buildable designs quickly. This role involves understanding business operations, identifying edge cases, and producing solutions that delivery teams can build from immediately, including workflows, components, and integration points, with clear technology choices. It is a hands-on architecture role that requires validating designs through prototyping and ensuring solutions are simple enough for non-technical users, sometimes involving process changes over technical builds. EVOCS is an AI-native firm, building its own tooling and automating operations to the same standard for client work.

Requirements

• A track record of solutioning across enterprise systems: workflows, integrations, APIs, and data flows across HR, finance, ITSM, or similar platforms.
• Elite decomposition and requirements skills.
• Data literacy: data modeling and transformation, and grounded opinions on relational vs. document vs. event-log storage.
• Cloud fluency (Azure and/or AWS) and integration depth: API gateways, middleware, event routing, and authentication patterns.
• Sufficient engineering ability to personally build a proof of concept for any design.
• AI-native working style, using modern AI tooling to compress design, documentation, and data work.
• Communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 8+ years of experience across solution architecture, integration architecture, or senior engineering roles.

Nice To Haves

• Professional services or consulting experience.
• Depth in one or more enterprise platforms: ITSM, HR, or finance and ERP systems.
• A pre-sales and RFP record.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, message brokers, and idempotency patterns at scale.
• Architect-level Azure or AWS certification.
• Experience designing for distributed delivery teams across multiple time zones.
• Working Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Client-facing pre-sales and escalation work (approximately half of the time).
• Designing solutions for delivery teams and EVOCS's internal operations (approximately half of the time).
• Producing solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical approach narratives for RFP responses and client proposals.
• Identifying issues and providing concrete solution designs for escalated projects within hours.
• Decomposing high-level business problems into requirements, workflows, states, branches, and edge cases.
• Selecting appropriate platforms, data stores, and integration patterns, and defending these choices.
• Prototyping critical or novel parts of a design to prove functionality before delivery commitment.
• Designing workflows, automations, and integrations for EVOCS's internal back office.
