Solution Architect

About The Position

As a member of Auditdata's Architecture Group, you will join a highly skilled engineering organization building enterprise-grade solutions for audiology clinics and hearing care providers worldwide. This is a hands-on architecture role: you sit inside the Architecture Group, own system and integration design for your domains, and carry the same technical depth as everyone else in the group. What makes it a solution role is the other half of the job. You will design the technical architecture - integrations, domain boundaries, system design - and you will shape the solution itself: working directly with Product, Sales, Delivery and customers to understand the clinical and commercial problem before deciding how to build for it. We are looking for someone equally comfortable in a customer workshop and in an architecture review; someone who treats "what should we build, and why" as part of their job, not someone else's. Tech environment: .NET, React, Azure Cloud (AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL Database), Azure DevOps.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture or solution-architecture roles within enterprise SaaS.
  • Proven track record turning ambiguous business needs into implementable solution designs.
  • Experience working alongside Product, Sales or Customer Success as the technical owner of a solution.
  • Experience designing integration architectures: message-bus and event-streaming platforms, REST APIs, webhooks.
  • Experience comparable enterprise system landscapes.
  • Practical knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture.
  • Solid understanding of security and compliance for regulated data (GDPR; HIPAA is a plus).
  • Strong background in Azure cloud services.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and diagrams (C4 or similar).
  • Strong communication skills: able to articulate architectural decisions to leadership, engineers and customers, and to adjust the level of abstraction to the audience.
  • Confident and credible in customer-facing and commercial settings, including pre-sales.
  • Fluent English proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or evolving multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Experience integrating with healthcare systems (EHR/EMR, HL7, FHIR)
  • Exposure to healthcare, clinical or other regulated business domains; hospital or public-sector customers a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML, LLMs or agent-based architectures (semantic search, intelligent document processing, workflow automation).
  • Azure Cloud certifications.
  • .NET and React familiarity.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the architectural counterpart to Product Management - translate business goals, market needs and customer workflows into solution options with clear trade-offs in cost, time, risk and long-term fit.
  • Own end-to-end solution design for significant initiatives: not just the components, but how the whole thing delivers value to the customer's day-to-day operations.
  • Challenge and refine requirements. Ask why before how and help the business distinguish the real problem from the requested feature.
  • Present options and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders - commercial leadership, customer executives, clinical staff - in language they can act on.
  • Build solution artefacts the business can use: solution overviews, capability maps, integration blueprints, effort and impact assessments.
  • Partner with Delivery on sequencing and phasing so architecture supports a roadmap the business can actually commit to.
  • Learn the audiology domain deeply enough to be a credible voice on clinical and operational workflows, not only on software.
  • Lead technical and solution workshops with customers and partners - discovery, requirements, integration approach, feasibility.
  • Take an active role in pre-sales: technical scoping, solution proposals, RFP and tender responses, early-stage shaping and estimation - including enterprise and public-sector procurement processes with long sales cycles.
  • Serve as trusted technical advisor to key accounts, including during escalations and complex distributed-system or integration troubleshooting.
  • Feed customer and market insight back into platform strategy and the product roadmap.
  • Serve as technical consultant for assigned domains, ensuring architectural integrity and consistent domain boundaries.
  • Shape domain models and identify bounded contexts, aggregates and integration points.
  • Define APIs and event contracts across microservices and cross-domain workflows.
  • Evaluate epics and initiatives for architectural feasibility and appropriate service ownership.
  • Support teams with high-level design, technology selection and patterns.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and platform governance.
  • Coach teams on DDD, Clean Architecture and best engineering practices.
  • Maintain architecture diagrams, specifications, interface documentation and ADRs.

Benefits

  • Long-term engagement in a stable, growing SaaS company
  • Remote-first and async-friendly with flat organizational structure
  • Real influence over both what we build and how we build it.
  • High engineering and product standards.
  • Direct exposure to customers and to the commercial side of the business.
  • Flexible environment with a flat organizational structure.
  • Professional development opportunities, including certification support.
  • A global, diverse and highly skilled team across Denmark, Ukraine, UK, Poland, Canada, Australia, USA and more.
