About The Position

RBC HR Technology is undertaking multiple initiatives to realize HR business strategy and improve the employee experience. The HR projects involves modernization of the platform with AI/ML, AI and Cloud technologies; merge and acquisitions, systems enhancements, integrations with SaaS applications and Request for Proposals (RFP). This role includes leading the design of end-to-end solution architectures and development of comprehensive roadmaps aligned to various strategic pillars.

Requirements

  • Total IT experience of at least 10 years out of which 5 years doing application or solution architecture on large projects with multiple integration points.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • Work experience with any Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS or GCP) and SaaS vendors.
  • Experience applying AI/ML concepts and techniques.
  • Must be a leader, not a follower, with a drive to influence and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently and to ask the right questions.
  • Good understanding of software and data design patterns.
  • Experience preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and leading them.
  • Confidence when presenting to executives and other senior leaders.
  • Above average communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • TOGAF certification.
  • Cloud certification.
  • SAP/Workday Knowledge.
  • Experience with Java, Python or any other modern programming language.
  • Knowledge of modern Cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for various IT projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements, RBC strategy, architecture principles and technology standards.
  • Engage with other architecture and technical teams to ensure designs meet technical and governance requirements.
  • Identify, create and present architecture decisions in a timely manner.
  • Develop and present architecture blueprints at the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Keep HR architecture portfolio up-to-date.
  • Identify issues, conflicts, and risks.
  • Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
