Solution Architect Principals #MN244

CumminsShoreview, MN
$145,018 - $154,800

About The Position

This role involves assessing and applying new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies, and standards in alignment with enterprise architecture strategies. The Solution Architect Principal will define new architecture solutions where needs are identified, manage the process to identify, assess, and prioritize issues and risks, and drive actions to minimize, monitor, and control risks to maximize positive outcomes. They will define complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams, and develop architecture deliverables, artifacts, and building blocks using an architecture development framework and methodology. This includes defining component breakdowns, functional allocations, and interfaces between systems and components. The role also involves composing and decomposing systems using Solution Functional Fit analysis, developing reusable standards and design patterns, and utilizing data analysis tools for reporting and dashboard solutions. Collaboration with project and product teams to understand requested capabilities and provide correct solutions, performing complex cost/benefit analysis for future state capabilities, and auditing solution designs for compliance with architectural patterns and standards are key responsibilities. The Solution Architect Principal will monitor architecture solution performance, prevent performance issues, and create System Solution Architecture designs and patterns using CLEAN standards and existing reference patterns to maintain alignment with Cummins standards. Knowledge of Agile software development and DevSecOps will be used to identify and implement improvements and cost reduction opportunities. Collaboration with stakeholders, including functional excellence teams, to apply strategy to future state architecture is also required.
