About The Position

We are seeking a .NET Solution Architect to design end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications, cloud platforms, integrations, and infrastructure. This role involves translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions, developing architecture diagrams, technical standards, and solution documentation. The architect will define standards for applications, APIs, integrations, and microservices, and guide engineering teams to ensure adherence to architectural designs. Key areas of focus include developing enterprise architecture standards, cloud-native and hybrid solutions using AWS and Azure, application modernization, cloud adoption, automation, and DevOps strategies. The role also emphasizes ensuring solutions support high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and operational efficiency, while establishing architecture governance and ensuring compliance with County policies and security standards. Evaluating architectural risks, promoting best practices in security, identity management, system integration, and data protection are crucial. The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams, lead architecture reviews, and collaborate with various IT teams. Researching emerging technologies and presenting strategies to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and business stakeholders, are also key aspects of this position. Building relationships with technology vendors and partners is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar architecture-focused role.
  • Experience designing enterprise applications, cloud solutions, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, APIs, security, and modern application design.

Responsibilities
