Requirements

  • Has a minimum of 7 years of experience in solution architecture within large-scale projects or organizations.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Has a solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Has experience with SDLC, DevOps, Agile, MVP/LEAN, and ITIL practices.
  • Has an advanced level of English, as the role involves regular collaboration with partners, vendors, and external teams located outside Québec
  • Has an advanced level of French, as the role involves regular collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Application platforms: Salesforce, basic knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and use cases
  • Cloud computing: Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI; containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Integration: APIs, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka), API-led approaches (e.g., MuleSoft)
  • Delivery and DevOps: Azure DevOps, Git, Terraform, CI/CD
  • Development and data (architectural level): .NET / C#, NoSQL databases
  • Security and compliance: Regulatory requirements and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Process management: BPM / workflow solutions (e.g., Camunda)

Responsibilities

  • Translate business and non-functional requirements into comprehensive solution architectures across system, technology, and organizational dimensions, and ensure compliance throughout delivery.
  • Lead and govern solution reviews by proposing, reviewing, and approving architectural decisions in accordance with enterprise frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure seamless integration of solutions within existing ecosystems, identify integration risks, and recommend pragmatic mitigation strategies when required.
  • Act as the end-to-end guarantor of solution quality and integrity, including delivery oversight and validation of requirements against test outcomes.
  • Provide multidisciplinary leadership to internal and external teams (analysts, designers, developers, vendors) and actively contribute to scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Maintain traceability of architectural decisions, certify technical documentation, and ensure enterprise repositories and permanent documentation remain up to date.
  • Structure, communicate, and maintain solution architecture using recognized models (e.g., the C4 model) to ensure a shared understanding across business, delivery, and governance teams.
  • Apply established architecture processes and methodologies, and monitor technology trends aligned with organizational standards and direction.
  • Act as application owner within the enterprise repository, in collaboration with enterprise architecture and application portfolio management teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations outside regular business hours, in accordance with the applicable policy.
  • Contribute to solution cost estimates (projects, products, and integrations) in a structured, comparable, and traceable manner, in collaboration with delivery teams and partners.
