They turn the business problem into a design the engineers can build, own that design end to end, build the hard parts alongside the engineers, and are the main link between the business and the pod.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years in solution architecture, technical or experience design, or applied-AI advisory, including 1 to 2 years leading.
  • Able to turn unclear problems into designs engineers can build.
  • Strong writer and facilitator, credible with executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Based onshore (US or Canada) for the Healthcare work, with travel required as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Understands RAG, agents, and evaluation well enough to design them.
  • Process mapping and service design.
  • Healthcare or higher education domain depth.
  • AWS or Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CBAP (BABOK), or Claude Certified Architect - Foundations.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, changing environments with shifting priorities and unclear problems.

Responsibilities

  • Frame the problem. Run the early conversations with the business to frame the problem worth solving.
  • Own the design. Produce the solution design and keep it current as the work evolves.
  • Translate both ways. Between what the business needs and what the engineers build.
  • Set the measures. Agree what success looks like and how it is measured, with the Engagement Manager and the engineers, before the build starts.
  • Build the hard parts. Work alongside the engineers on the pieces of the build the design depends on.
  • Bring domain depth. Keep the design right for the industry it serves.
