About The Position

Innovating beyond physical device limits towards a future where cloud technology connects and enhances human experience is the foundation of our Ericsson Cloud Software and Services team (BCSS). The Hybrid Cloud Environment (HCE) unit is expanding at our Montreal R&D site to further contribute to the evolution of 5G core network products, specifically in Public Cloud and network APIs. As we assist service providers in their transition to cloud-native software and automated operations, we are seeking application/platform DevOps engineers. These engineers will be responsible for guiding engineering service projects throughout the service lifecycle, primarily in the areas of AI, MLOps and Data Management.

Requirements

  • Second-year+ student in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Very good knowledge of AI tools and methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • Knowledge in programming and scripting: Java, Python, Shell, etc.
  • Knowledge with CI/CD, like Jenkins, Gitlab, Spinnaker, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and data management domains. Understand MLOps concepts.
  • Good Knowledge in Virtualization, networking and Cloud/Container: Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Good knowledge of hyperscale cloud provider services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of hybrid cloud environments.
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Basic knowledge of IT security best practices and zero trust architecture concepts.
  • Have a service-oriented mindset for creating low friction services for developers to use.

  • Good communication skills
  • Bilingual French and English is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in service requirements workshops with internal RnD stakeholders to understand their use cases and be able to propose a minimum viable service architecture.
  • Translate service requirements and use cases into an architectural study document, describing at a high level the end-to-end flows between service components.
  • Perform “hands-on” work with different internal infrastructure and platform teams to develop, test and realize your proposed service architecture.
  • Interact with our internal RnD stakeholders during the entire service lifecycle to collect feedback during UAT and propose improvements in the architecture and/or service offering.
  • Prepare Low Level Design (LLD), and High Level Design (HLD) documents.
