This role involves working closely with customers to design integrated solutions using Appian's cloud-based platform technology. The Solution Architect will act as a key technical leader and trusted advisor to Army stakeholders, defining integrated Appian solutions that align with Army modernization priorities. The position requires leveraging Appian's platform capabilities, including process automation, case management, integration, and Data Fabric, to enhance mission outcomes across various Army domains such as business, logistics, readiness, acquisition, and enterprise information environments. The role also involves advising on technical design, architecture, and implementation on customer-hosted solutions, supporting the sales cycle with compelling technical solutions, and presenting complex technical concepts to customers. Additionally, the Solution Architect will assist with configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of Appian applications using agile methodologies, and guide clients on development practices, program management, governance, and DevSecOps. A key aspect of the role is to lead the definition and development of Appian Customer Success innovations and offerings, collect and distill technical challenges into best practices, and support the development of whitepapers and proposals. The Solution Architect will advise Army customers on positioning Appian as an agility layer for integrating mission and business processes, and design Appian-based solution architectures for modernization initiatives. Experience supporting the Army C5ISR ecosystem and familiarity with Army enterprise systems like ECMA, GCSS-Army, GFEBS, LMP, and ACWS are important. The role requires working with Army stakeholders to shape architectures that adhere to Army hosting, cybersecurity, RMF/ATO, data access, integration, and interoperability constraints.
