About The Position

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the incumbent analyzes IT solution needs and makes recommendations to be transformed into detailed functional specifications. They resolve operational IT issues through their analytical and research skills, supported by a solid knowledge of group insurance processes and practical experience in data migration. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in information technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years participating in the integration of software packages as a solution analyst.
  • Knowledge of Agile Frameworks such as SCRUM, Kanban.
  • Participation in scaled Agile projects such as SAFE, LESS, DAD.
  • Knowledge of automated test case implementation tools like Atlassian's XRAY.
  • Experience with tools such as PL/SQL and reading Java code.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools such as Copilot and GitHub Copilot.
  • Advanced proficiency in French and functional proficiency in English (oral and written) due to the nature of tasks, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze needs and translate organizational or client requirements into system requirements.
  • Analyze systems to resolve operational problems.
  • Communicate with technical resources, business resources, and clients to understand the solutions to be implemented.
  • Define and propose IT solution architecture drafts to the Solution Architecture Advisor that comply with architecture principles and quality assurance standards.
  • Guide developers in their work.
  • Produce functional testing documents that translate the solution to be validated and participate in testing.
  • Participate in IT discussions with the supplier or client and the delivery team.
  • Participate in the evaluation of complexity, deadlines, resources, and required efforts.
  • Ensure the alignment of all functional work under their responsibility and guide other participating analysts.
  • Adhere to documentation standards and functional standards, and suggest modifications and additions.
  • Participate in the quality assurance community of practice.
  • Work closely with other "product" teams.
  • Actively participate in the team's Agile ceremonies (Scrum model) and the Train's Agile ceremonies (SAFe model).
