About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining solids control equipment. The operator will need to recognize different pieces of equipment, understand their functions, and adhere to proper rig etiquette. Daily reporting, communication with supervisors and co-workers, and maintaining a professional attitude are essential. The role also involves accountability for company equipment, identifying and using the correct tools for specific tasks, and maintaining proper PPE and safety requirements. Additionally, the operator must ensure timely submission of required documentation and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Requirements

  • Experience in solids control field, or similar mechanical experience, to be able to identify potential mechanical problems with immediate report to supervisor.
  • Willingness to learn NOV policies, procedures, and solids control equipment.
  • Ability to identify and implement safe work practices.
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record (NOV MVR/Element MVR).
  • Ability to safely complete general labor tasks within NOV safety guidelines/policies.
  • Must be able to complete Pre-Employment Background Check, Pre-Placement Non-DOT Physical, Audiogram, Vision Screen, Pulmonary Function/FIT Test, and Substance Abuse Testing.
  • Basic tool set (hammer, adjustable wrench set, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Reliable transportation to and from jobsite/office.

Nice To Haves

  • Attained or will attain the necessary NOV WSS Core Training and maintain annual refresher training.
  • Ability to operate, or be trained to operate, heavy equipment such as track hoe/back hoe in a safe manner. Training required during and after probationary period is met.
