Solid Waste Inspector

About The Position
Incumbents perform operational and monitoring activities for the City's solid waste and recycling programs to ensure compliance with applicable rules, policies, regulations, and ordinances. The work includes field inspections, repairing and exchanging cracked containers, responding to customer requests, investigating and resolving complaints, attending outreach events to educate the public about solid waste and recycling programs, and providing container collection and/or delivery services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of customer service and/or community outreach experience; additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver License at the time of hire and be able to maintain it.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspection work related to the City's solid waste and recycling programs.
